Grace flowing through Seven Pipes

Vision of the Lampstand and Olive Trees

Zechariah 4:1-7
New King James Version (NKJV)

Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, “What do you see?”

So I said, “I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.” So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”

Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?”

And I said, “No, my lord.”

So he answered and said to me:

“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.
‘Who are you, O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And he shall bring forth the capstone
With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’”

Don’t go by your feelings

  • It’s wrong to say, “before i used to feel Holy Spirit, but now i am not” : Its just a feeling
  • It’s wrong to say, “before i feel blessed, But now i am not” : Its just a feeling
  • It’s wrong to say, “before I feel myself Righteous, But now I am not” : Its just a feeling

Importance of Preaching Forgiveness of Sins

Acts 10:34-48
New King James Version (NKJV)

Preaching to Cornelius’ Household

34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all— 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they[a] killed by hanging on a tree. 40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, 41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, evento us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.

Remission of sins

And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

Righteousness which is of the Law

  • Righteousness which is of the Law = own righteousness = Self Righteousness
    • Self Righteousness is a reward
  • God’s Righteousness is a Gift

How satan approaches you?

Genesis 3:1-5
New King James Version (NKJV)

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which theLord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Tactics

  1. Showing God stingy
  • You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?
  • There could be millions on Trees which God created, all given for Adam and Eve to eat
    • One tree among those millions is so so so small.

2. Making you think that you don’t have, when you already have

  • You will be like God
  • Already Adam and Eve were made in God’s image
  • Identity Crisis
  • Makes us to think ” We need more than what we have ”
    • That’s the problem with Galatians, Colossians

1 Corinthians 2:2
New King James Version (NKJV)

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

How you go deeper?

  • You go deeper in the Person of Christ

When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Healing in Hearing

Paul at Listra

  • When the lay man in Listra was hearing when Paul Preached ( Paul in a loud voice : “Stand Up” ) , He got healed completely and no longer a Criple

Acts 14:8-10
New King James Version (NKJV)

And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, 10 said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.

Peter at Cornelius House

  • In Cornelius House, when Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word

Acts 10:44
New King James Version (NKJV)

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.

Jesus Cleansing a Leper

Matthew 8:1-4
New King James Version (NKJV)

When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

Leper CAME to Jesus

SOME THING MADE HIM TO COME

  • great multitudes followed Him  : means Jesus is walking in the opposite direction
  • Previous chapter Jesus was Preaching in the Mountain to the People, so He had to come down
  • The Mountain has good sound acoustics, so the sound even reaches people who stand way down
  • THATS HOW, the Leper would have heard what Jesus was Preaching, that’s how he came to Jesus with boldness ( Legally as per Law, a Leper is not allowed to come near anyone, if so, the Leper will be stoned to death ), so obviously the Leper heard what Jesus Preached which is not of the Law

Sheep now returned to the Shepherd

  • We are like the Sheep going astray, but now have returned to the Shepherd

We are like the Sheep going astray

Isaiah 53:5-6
New King James Version (NKJV)

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Now have returned to the Shepherd

1 Peter 2:24-25
New King James Version (NKJV)

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer[a] of your souls.

Footnotes:

  1. 1 Peter 2:25 Greek Episkopos

Returned is Passive Tense

  • Which means Its not you return, someone is returning you to the shepherd
  • Healing operates best when you know that you are part of the flock and the Lord is your shepherd
  • When He is your Shepherd you shall not lack
