Mary said “My Savior”

Luke 1:46-47
New King James Version (NKJV)

46 And Mary said:

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

  • We don’t need saving if we are all fine.
  • We all sinned. Bible says ” All have fallen short of the Glory of God”
  • Which means all are sinners
  • That’s why we need a Savior to save us
  • Mary also needed a Savior to be saved, that’s when she can call “My Savior”

Jesus both Child and Son

Deity of Christ

  • Human Beings are born as Child
  • But Jesus, Son of the Father in Heaven.

Shows, Jesus was both Human and God

Prophesy of Isaiah

Isaiah 9:6

Unto us a Son is given;

The Birth of Christ

John 17:24
New King James Version (NKJV)

24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Proverbs 8:30
New King James Version (NKJV)

30 Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman;
And I was daily His delight,
Rejoicing always before Him,

We might not know how much it caused God the Father to send His Son

  • Pain of the One giving, the Pain of the One loving the Beloved

I don’t believe God is emotionless

  • We are made in Gods image and we have emotions, so God will have emotions, so God can be Grieved, God can be delighted, God can be Happy

Jesus to Nicodemus

  • Nicodemus who knows all about Old Testament and a Leader
  • Jesus told him to be born again

John 3:16
New King James Version (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

  • Jesus was born to die
  • Whoever means not only Jews, WHOEVER. That’s why Nicodemus was shocked.

God’s Hear is not to Perish

  • Should not Perish

Luke 2:11
New King James Version (NKJV)

11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

  • Not a law giver like Moses
  • Jesus, Yeshua in Hebrew means Savior
    • Saving us from our sins
    • Saving us from our guilt
    • Saving us from our temporal needs
    • Saving us from our addictions
    • Saving us from the separation from God
    • Saving us from our situations

God’s love first

  • God send Jesus because of God’s love for us
    • God’s love first.
    • Death of Christ is the effect of God’s love
    • God Loved us long before He send Jesus
    • God send Jesus because of God’s love
  • Its WRONG to think “Death of Jesus Christ on the Cross is the cause for God loving us”

God didn’t send Jesus to Condemn

John 3:17
New King James Version (NKJV)

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Who can be against us?

  • One who is Omniscient : All knowing
  • One who is Omnipotent : All Powerful

Romans 8:31-32
New King James Version (NKJV)

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

  • Who can be against us?
  • What can be against us?
  • What is enemy against us?
  • What is satan against us?
  • What is diseases against us?
  • What is problems against us?

Blood

  • Blood of One Man (Jesus) has to be shed because of Another man’s (Adam’s) disobedience.
  • God made all mankind of one blood
  • Diseases can be seen in the blood, that’s why we go for blood test for testing
  • Sin starts in the blood
  • After a person dies, the first place it gets decaying is their blood
    • That’s why the Embalming Chemicals will be injected to a dead body in their blood stream to stop decomposition/decaying
  • Bible says “The life of the flesh is in the Blood”
  • That’s the necessity of the Virgin Birth
    • Research says Blood is not transmitted from Mother (Placenta ) to the Fetus
    • Woman’s ovum does not have the capacity to create its own blood
    • Only after the introduction of male sperm, the fetus in itself starts developing Capillaries and Blood Streams
    • Saying this reverently “The Holy Spirit Provided the Seed”
    • Conceived in the Virgin’s womb, Christ.

Judas repented but still not Saved

Repentance doesn’t mean you are saved

Matthew 27:3-5
New King James Version (NKJV)

Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.”

And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!

Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Height of Presumptuous Pride

  • Judas could have waited few more hours, for Jesus.
  • Jesus would have hanged for Him, that He didn’t need to hang
  • People used to say
    • “I rather die rather than receive forgiveness”
    • “I rather pay myself than someone pay for me”

Peter Preaching in Solomon’s Portico to Jews

Acts 3:13-20
New King James Version (NKJV)

13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,

What is Repentance in this passage?

Before

Jews used to think :

  • Denied the Holy One and the Just, and
  • asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
  • 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

After

  • Accept the Holy One, and the Just
  • Accept Jesus is the Prince of Life

Changing your mind from Before to After is called Repentance

  • Repentance means Change of Mind.

Peter didn’t use “Repent” in Cornelius House

Repentance to Life

  • In this below passage Repentance was not used

Acts 10:43-44
New King James Version (NKJV)

43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.

Peter in Jerusalem regarding reaching to Gentiles

Acts 11:1-4
New King James Version (NKJV)

11 Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!”

But Peter explained it to them in order from the beginning, saying:

Acts 11:15-18
New King James Version (NKJV)

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?”

18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

Many times in Gospel the word “Repentance” is not there.

Does that means Repentance is not happening?

  • Repentance means Metanoia, which means Change of Mind
  • Changing of Mind is still happening.

Point to Jesus for any Question

A Man Born Blind Receives Sight

John 9:1-7
New King James Version (NKJV)

Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?

Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day;the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.

And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

10 Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, 11 searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 12 To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.

  • Salvation is a rich word in Hebrew
  • It means Healing, Health, Wholeness, Peace, Prosperous
  • Salvation in Hebrew is called Yeshua
  • Jesus in Hebrew is called Yeshua

This is the Gospel

1 Peter 1:22-25
New King James Version (NKJV)

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit[a] in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because

“All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.”

Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

Eternal Life can’t be bought

Jesus Paid for it

  • Jesus paid for our eternal life

Explanation

Galatians 6:6-10
New King James Version (NKJV)

Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

1 Timothy 6:17-19
New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Example

Imagine we bless a person, from your heart ( with out speaking it out )

  • We bless them because of the Eternal life in us
    • Eternal Life is in us
  • Even though no one knows it, we might feel some sense happiness/joy inside us.
  • Now we are reaping it through our emotions
  • We experience eternal life even in our body
  • Reaping within us
  • We are laying hold on eternal life.

The Lamp of the Body

22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Paul never called Galatians as Holy

Galatians introduced the Law

  • Paul never called Galatians as Holy
  • Even Corinthians Paul called them as Holy / Sanctified / Saints People

Because they introduced the Law

Paul started Galatians with Double curse

  • Double curse for people who preach any other Gospel

Galatians 1:6-9
New King James Version (NKJV)

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Corinthians was a carnal church

  • but still Paul mentioned them as Holy / Sanctified / Saints

Reason for Paul’s trouble

Philippians 1:12
New King James Version (NKJV)

12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel13 so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; 14 and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

  • Palace Guard’s ( Romans ) Got saved, who were appointed to guard Paul

Salvation = furtherance of the Gospel

Philippians 1:27-30
New King James Version (NKJV)

27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. 29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30 having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.

Paul hard-pressed between the two

What I shall choose I cannot tell

Philippians 1:19-26
New King James Version (NKJV)

19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. 24 Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. 25 And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, 26 that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

Remain in the flesh is more needful for you

  • to die is gain
  • having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better

Preaching of Paul in the Synagogue

Acts 13:38-44
New King James Version (NKJV)

Unconditional Gospel

38 Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; 39 and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.40 Beware therefore, lest what has been spoken in the prophets come upon you:

41 ‘Behold, you despisers,
Marvel and perish!
For I work a work in your days,
A work which you will by no means believe,
Though one were to declare it to you.’

Blessing and Conflict at Antioch

42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. 43 Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.
