Unfinished work of Christ in Acts

  • Book of Acts is the unfinished work of Christ
  • Executed by His Body / By His Church / By His People

Began

Acts 1:1-2
New King James Version (NKJV)

The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

Our work is to Preach

  • Our work to teach
  • Executed by His body / By His Church / By His people

Example

  • What God is doing now is based on the Done
  • What God is healing now is based on the Healed

Been Justified Vs Being Justified

Romans 5:1
New King James Version (NKJV)

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • Justified : made Righteous
  • aeristance : something in the past

Romans 3:24
New King James Version (NKJV)

24 being justified (Present Passive Participle) freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

  • Passive : you are not doing it.
  • God is continuously seeing you righteous / God is continuously imputing Righteous ( before you fail, when you fail, after you fail )
